What is shootcrew & why should I be excited?!

Shootcrew is an open door.  The party everybody can come to. As photographers and creatives, it can be a struggle to make connections or put yourself out there! Community is necessary for growth, so Shootcrew is an effort to create that community and foster kindness over competition, and allow photographers to find a home when they're struggling to find where they fit!

We try to host 2x a year, and each event is different so we can serve a variety of people, skill levels and genres of photography. Some events are styled shoots, some are educational content, and sometimes we just party! All are welcome, unless you shoot Nikon. (That is not the lamest joke you'll hear from me if you bring your butt to an event and I'm sorry/not sorry in advance)

I hosted my first Shootcrew in 2017 because I desperately wanted an open, friendly community of photo friends and I just couldn't find it.

Above all else, Shootcrew is a dedication to creating a welcoming an environment for everyone. Are you a well seasoned artist? Expect to meet other peers & share your knowledge! Just starting out? Learn from others in a relaxed atmosphere. Somewhere in the middle? Challenge yourself and build connections with people who shoot differently than you and be open to learning! We're here to help you evolve, test yourself, and expand your mindset about photography and community.

Creating art is fun, making money at it is pretty fun too. But it's a shallow pursuit in itself If you don't change & become changed along the way by other people!
So come change with me. I think you're neat, and I want you to sit at our table.

So I got some freinds together and made one instead!

Now almost six years later, some of my actual best friends in the entire world came from that very first event. And with each event I've only added to my circle, and grown as an artist by sharing my knowledge and hearing from others who do things differently.
